Looking to get an extra chance or two in the membership drive raffle? Write a blog post about our .NET group or the CodeMash conference (www.CodeMash.org) and then reply to this message with the URL of your post. Below are details about the contest.
November 14th is the culmination of our membership drive. Remember: You’ll get an extra chance in the raffle for every friend you bring to meetings! But wait! That’s not all! You can get extra chances in the raffle by blogging about our .NET group or by blogging about the upcoming CodeMash conference (www.CodeMash.org).
Here’s how:
0) Write one or more blog posts about our .NET group or about the CodeMash conference. Write something honest and in your own style. Don’t bother with marketing blabberspeak – that’s *MY* job!
1) Post a note to the Membership Drive Blog Posts thread in the Group Meeting Discussion forum on the group’s website (www.DaytonDevGroup.net). Tell us the URL of the blog post. We’ll verify, then give you another ticket for the membership drive raffle.
Rules of the game:
0) Maximum of two extra chances. I’d love it if you’ll write up 15 blog posts talking about the DevGroup or CodeMash, but you’ll only get two extra tickets.
1) All posts must be posted to your blog and the forum by midnight, 12 November.
Don’t have a blog? There are a number of free blogging services and tools around. Blogger (www.blogger.com) and WordPress (www.wordpress.com) are two popular ones. I’ve run my blog off Blogger for two years now and have been very satisfied with their service. You can use tools like w.Bloggar, Windows Live Writer, or BlogJet to help you write content and post it. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about starting a blog.
Don’t know about CodeMash? Stop by the website (www.CodeMash.org) and read a bit about a very unique, exciting conference. Hit Google and look up some of the posts about it. Search my blog where I’ve posted incessantly about it for the last year or more (http://frazzleddad.blogspot.com/search?q=codemash). Visit the Google Group at http://www.google.com/group/CodeMash and network with other folks who are excited about CodeMash.
